The event stage room is where all the inspiring, insightful, and important talks take place. It's perfect for a webinar or a livestream video experience.

When the Stage is live in a Scheduled event (see "Open vs. Scheduled events"), your attendees will see "LIVE" in red text below the Stage icon on the left sidebar. All other event segments will close (within five minutes) so that all attendees end up in the Stage room to watch and engage.

You can livestream your physical event content on a Hopin stage through:

  • Youtube
  • Vimeo
  • Wistia
  • Custom
  • Hopin

If you choose Hopin (recommended) for your stream provider, you will have access to Hopin's Backstage -- a private place to meet with your speakers before they go live. Learn more about the Hopin Backstage.

To add a stage segment to your Hopin event, follow these steps:

  1. Login to organiser profile
  2. Manage Events
  3. Manage [your event's name]
  4. Event Details
  5. Schedule
  6. Add Segment
  7. Select Stage under Segment Area and add in details.

Add speakers to your Stage segment

You can designate an already-registered attendee as a Speaker using the Select Speakers dropdown -- just start typing their name and they'll show up.

If you are speaking, type your own name (make sure you registered for your event as an attendee).

If your speaker hasn't registered for an event, type their email into the Invite Speaker box and an email will invite them to register for the event. After they create their account, their name, short bio, and photo will show up attached to this Stage segment.
